Innovative Odor Control and VOC Abatement Systems from Canada
The odor control and VOC Abatement Systems from PhaserTek Environmental provides unparalleled air purification suitable for use in a wide range of environments and industries. We utilize various methods of phaser technology to remove pollutants effectively and consistently. From our head office in British Columbia, PhaserTek Environmental provides odor control and VOC Abatement Systems for clients throughout Canada, China and the United States of America.
Our Methods
PhaserTek is a Non Thermal Plasma (NTP) technology based system that provides innovative solutions for commercial and industrial odor and air pollution problems. Contact our head office in British Columbia, Canada if you would like to know more about the PhaserTek system.
Flow Through or Flow Parallel Method
This method is useful if the air stream has no particulate, is non-condensing and contains higher concentrations of odor or VOC’s. All the air flows through the electrodes in this case and you will gain the benefit of the intense plasma field in oxidizing the odors and VOC’s in the air stream. This is typically used in cases where the VOC concentration is in the higher end, typically above 5 ppm. This method can apply from 1 to 25 watts per cubic foot of air per minute and is best where high intensity treatment is needed. Cold plasma fields can be configured in parallel to handle larger air volume flows.
Flow Through Series or Series Parallel Method
It is also possible to configure the plasma fields in series or series/parallel to treat higher concentrations of VOC’s.
Injection Method
The Injection method can be very effective in cases where you need to treat odorous air emissions from most types of human food, animal feed or other biological source emissions (tobacco, composting, etc), or where you need to treat solvent VOC’s that are very dilute, perhaps 5 ppm or lower. This method can apply anywhere from 0.2 to 5 watts per m3/hr into the air being treated and the compounds in the air will be oxidized to non-odorous or environmentally safe forms.
Recirculate Options
This diagram is similar to the others shown, however, it has the addition of recirculating some of the reactive oxygen species back into the building. In the case of handling municipal solid waste (city/residential garbage), the tipping floor in the transfer station will always have the odor of the garbage. When you recirculate some activated oxygen air back into the tipping floor area, it has the benefit of neutralizing the odorous dust that collects on all surfaces, even those in the ceiling area. That helps to keep fugitive odors minimized as the overall odor of the building is kept minimized.
